Who We Are
Manifest
The name Lo’bat came from an old term used to compliment Persian women; the term means beautiful lady. This name and brand resemble the cultural side of Persian fashion and the impact it has on today’s modern world. The designs can be characterized as a contrast between softness and hardness in material, forms, designs, and colors; ideally to make any lady feel confident with a strong character. Lo’bat strongly believes that fashion is more than just trends and consumerism, fashion can provide answers and new approaches to human needs in a rather poetic manner. It can be a form of art that people wear and live.
Lo’bat was formed in 2018 when two old friends joined their creative minds in efforts to create handmade accessories. Being raised in a society where women are restricted and limited gave them a great amount of respect towards women, and that is why the whole concept behind Lo'bat is to encourage women to be confident. This brand came into fruition, as a result of two individuals having parallel beliefs and dreams.
Golnar is graduated from Architecture school in Tehran; which contemplates her artistic sight, and continued her studies in Fashion Management in Toronto.
They have always kept their consciousness about importance of materials and their potential impact on the environment. They started to find and develop a material that is the least harmful to the environment, and the answer came out to be recycled paper. Lo’bat strongly believes that fashion is more than just trends and consumerism, fashion can provide answers and new approaches to human needs in a rather poetic manner. It can be a form of art that people wear and live. As you already know, the material out of which Lo'bat accessories are made is simply paper; however, the catch is that these accessories are not made of brand new paper, but instead, made out of recycled paper that is no longer useful. In this way, Lobat makes extremely light accessories for its customers in an environmentally friendly manner that does no harm to our planet earth and indeed promotes the “green trend”
